John Mulcahy was born in Hingham, Ma. in 1931. He attended the Hingham schools, St. Botolph Art School in Boston and served two years in the U.S. Army in Germany. In 1958, Mulcahy opened the "Appointment Gallery" with his mother Margaret in her Hingham home. In 1966, he opened the John Mulcahy Art Studio in Wellfleet, Ma. John resided in both Provincetown and Wellfleet until he passed away in 2012.
